Roxas City – The Metro Roxas Water District (MRWD) Basketball Team is gearing up for an action-packed summer as it vies for the championship in the 2012 Inter-Agency Basketball Tournament (GM DIAZ CUP – CAPELCO) sponsored by the Capiz Electric Cooperative and which was formally opened last March 17, 2012 at the Capiz Gym, Roxas City.

This sports activity encourages the participation of the different government and private agencies. The purpose of the same among others is to foster camaraderie and establishing good relations among participating agencies relative to a better public service. Accordingly, the sporting event has already commenced setting the teams for series of elimination games to qualify for the semi-finals and all the way through the championship match.
