Roxas City – The Metro Roxas Water District had its Year-End Assessment Conference and Christmas party last December 19, 2011 at the MRWD Main Office Building. This year’s theme, MRWD, “Hataw sa 2012” as put by Dir. Balgos in his message is something to be considered as visionary. He manifested that as it was literally coined in one of the employees’ activities, the Hataw dance exercise; it is reflective though of how the performance of the District was in terms of its management and operations. It is also symbolic of what the MRWD would be in what it projects to accomplish in the coming year. He said that as 2011 has been a tough year and it came with a challenge and things were never easy, an up-hill climb for the District, but charging it all to the steadfast spirit and strong will seasoned with love and concern of the management. The unwavering support of the employees, this year’s journey has finally come to conclude and is indeed worthwhile, he added. On that note, he encouraged everyone to continuously work and press on for the development of the District in furtherance of public service. Highlights of the program were the giving of recognition to service awardees and lone retiree; and the Hataw dance exercise presentations by the different Divisions. The annual activity is an appraisal of the District’s performance for the year and a gathering being looked forward to by all as it affords the Management and employees not only the time for work evaluation but also to have fun and enjoy the feel of the holiday season. It must have been a great start for MRWD as the activity fell on the first day of the week making the rest of days of the week in a euphoric mood.
